1963 Jaguar MK2 3.4 manual with overdreive(For Restoration)
To be sold as a DIY project or fully restored by us back to it's former glory.
She will definately be an amazing car once completed!
The chrome work is all in good condition and the interior walnut wood dash in good useable condition.
The upholstery is in extremely good condition and we believe she had attention at some point during it's lifetime in South Africa. There will only be a small amount of detailing required to make good of the interior as you can see from some of the photos we uploaded.
The vehicle is aslo fitted with imoboliser and has rack & pinion power steering conversion. She also has a blue top tinted front windcreen and CD player securely fitted in lockable glove box.
We were told this car was sold direct to South Africa when made in 1963 where it spent a large part of it's life it does have stickers and windscreen wipers from South Africa which backs this up. We have a letter from Jaguar 'Manufacturer's Statement of Build' dated 17/11/1989 stating chassis number and confirming it was built at Coventry on 18/10/1963. There is also a stamp on the same letter recording when it was imported back to England in 03/07/1990. and was registered to B.J.A Classic Autos Keighley. We were told that the car was dry stored for some 10 years once imported back to England. This is why the car is in good condition generally and a great candidate for restoration.
The first MOT certificate we have is 1998. The last MOT certificate we have showing the car was on the road is 2005. We have a receipt for a new clutch that was fitted in 1998 - Mileage 07774 (107774) it has done less than 3000 miles since clutch was fitted. We have two valuation Certificates: Jaguar Drivers Club dated 1993 £16000.00 Mileage 6658 Cherished Car Underwriting Agency dated 1997 £14000.00 Mileage 7672
The vehicle does need sills repairing were they meet front wing quarter panel and other areas however she has great potential as you can see from the photos.
Last owner bought the vehicle in July 2020. Mileage 110709 The car was running and at the time the last owner drove it to the end of our lane and back since then it had been kept dry storage. From what we were told the last time the car was started was approx 3 years ago and at the time the fuel pipe to carbs was leaking. The car has not been started since.
